Panaracer will support cycling, no matter the viral load – The global COVID-19 pandemic has decimated the 2020 cycling event calendar. Scores of races from amateurs to pros have been postponed or cancelled, and we don’t see an end in sight. But tire maker Panaracer’s support is unwavering. They remain committed to support the more than 30 amateur events they already agreed to for 2020, recognizing the importance of cycling events as glimmer of hope and a key means to build & sustain the cycling community.

Whether each events continues, is postponed, or even canceled, Panaracer says, “We see supporting the cycling community, and especially events in 2020, as an investment in the future of the sport, and a way to recognize event promoters for the role they play in the
cycling community. For decades, events have been an important part of how Panaracer
engages cycling and cyclists, and we look forward to reconnecting with all of you, when it is safe to do so.

I will never understand colored tires designed for off road use.

Off or on – Black rubber compounds offer the best grip, using anything else is silly.

Colored bike tires have a softer durometer compound, so one could say they’re actually grippier than black. Have both colored and black Gravel Kings and the difference is so slight it’s not even noticeable.

It depends on the compound and materials being used. In a standard rubber compound, that’s true. Black will be best overall. The Gravelking’s do not use a standard rubber compound and there is very little difference between the black versions and the colored versions of the Gravelking.

Bought a set of the sandstone color a couple years ago when Panaracer first started these ltd color runs. It was the lightest shade available at the time and after thousands of miles of dirt they still look good. Vanity intact. Maybe you’d understand if you actually took the time to wash your bike once in a while, Seraph. You dirty bird, you!

Those Foothill wheel holders are pretty legit. I love how they look on the wall of my bike room.
