Along with a number of other companies, Storck has just announced the delivery of two new e-MTB models. The launch coincides with the introduction of the new Shimano EP800 electric drive system, but the bikes also include a unique customization option directly from Storck.

Storck e:drenalin.2 e-mtb Shimano EP8

While the e:drenalin name carries forward for the e:drenalin.2, Storck notes that these are completely new bikes with a new carbon frame that offers improved stiffness and a revised suspension layout. The frame has also been optimized to fit the Shimano EP8 drive system. The new motor is physically smaller with 10% less volume, and it’s lighter as well by 380g. The motor now also provides 13% more torque, and 50% less friction loss at speads over 25 km/h while also sporting a narrower 177mm q-factor. When equipped with the 630Wh battery, range will be extended by about 25%.

e:drenalin.2 & e:drenic.2

Details are still somewhat limited on the bikes, but we know that it will be offered in two configurations with three different build options. The e:drenic.2 is the longer travel option of the two (travel numbers not provided), and will be built with 27.5″ wheels. This will be the more aggressive build, with a Fox 38 fork to take care of business up front.

The e:drenalin.2 on the other hand will be available as a 29″ wheeled model or as a 29/27.5″ mullet build with less travel than the e:drenic.2 and a more all mountain build. These bikes will be equipped with a Fox 36 fork and matching shock.

Custom Wraps?

Storck doesn’t provide any examples of what the finished product will look like, but they mention the ability to order your bike with a custom wrap. According to Markus Storck, “the decorations are applied as a high-performance film, just as it is used in the automotive industry. The film is therefore very high quality. It has strong adhesion and there is no need to paint over it – on the contrary, it even protects the paint from outside influences, especially at neuralgic points such as the rear end.”

Along with the option for custom finishes, the bikes will be configurable in many different build options with prices starting at €6,999. Storck doesn’t expect to be shipping bikes until December, but you can pre-order bikes now to reserve them for the new year.
