Man, there is always a lot to see at MADE, including from component brands like Teravail.

It looks like they will be venturing further into offering cockpit options with the release of two new stems. They also were showing some tires inspired by the jorts of MADE. Just kidding. But they do have a unique ‘denim’ finish…

Teravail Prototype Stems

There were only two on display; there was one that was a more traditional type (above left), and one that was a top loader. I didn’t get any details; all the brand told me was that they are prototypes. So, we aren’t sure when they are coming, what lengths, colors, rises, or clamp size will be available.

But I thought it would be cool for you guys to see what they looked like. I will say, keeping to the brand’s way of doing things, they are simple and understated in the actual branding. I found the traditional-looking stem to be quite handsome. I’m looking forward to what becomes of these bits.

Black Wall, Tan Wall, or Denim Wall?

No. Not really. These are denim printed sidewalls. Teravail was excited to show me this tire. And I’m glad they did. I think it’s pretty cool-looking. As you can see, it really kinda looks like denim. I think it’s a cool change-up from the traditional sidewall colors. I could see it looking really neat on certain builds.

Again, I have zero information for you, as the brand just wanted me to see it. And said I could take photos of it. Not sure if this is a prototype, or when/if it will be available. I don’t know what threads or sizes it will be available in either. Sorry, I just got to see it, hold it, and photograph it. I did like it and thought it would be really great for certain bike builds.

Teravail crëw operates out of Minnesota and traveled a long way to be here supporting the independent frame builder (there were a lot of their tires and wheels on 32″ builds at the show, more on that soon) and show their new/upcoming stuff. Check out their selection of great tires and other cockpit goodies at the link below.
