There have been red versions of Crankbrothers’ small platform Candy & no-platform Eggbeater clipless pedals before. But Candy (apple) Red is new to the #2 level, bringing another shiny color to customize your bike setup at their most affordable alloy-bodied pedal.

The latest $100 / 100€ Crankbrothers Candy 2 Red features a small one-piece machined 6061 alloy platform that works with their snap-on traction pad spacers to dial in the perfect interface with the tread on your trail shoes. They get the 4-sided, mud-shedding Eggbeater engagement design with stamped steel wings, steel spindle & spring, and a mix of inner Igus bushing/outer Enduro cartridge bearing at this level. The result is a 355g (per pair) set of pedals that you can tweak the release angle & float with various Crankbrothers cleats (standard release 15°/20° cleats included). The pedals also come with a 5 year warranty.

How do you win a pair of Candy 2 Red pedals?
