The Reactor trail bike bike first graced singletrack last year, entering Nukeproof’s mountain bike line-up between the Scout and the Mega enduro bike. We tested the 140mm all-mountain bike on Aberdeenshire’s finest – check out our first ride review here. As we move swiftly into Model Year 2021, Nukeproof have seen fit to update the Reactor with new spec options and a fresh lick of paint.
MY21 Nukeproof Reactor
There are five new model builds for 2021, for both the Reactor 275 and the Reactor 290, plus an update for the shorter travel Reactor ST. The line-up comprises the top-end RS, working down to the Factory, Elite, Pro to the the budget-friendly Comp build.
All are spec’d with Sam Hill’s Signature Grips, Nukeproof Horizon SL saddle and Maxxis rubber.
2021 Reactor RS
The all-singing all-dancing Nukeproof Reactor RS is an “over-forked” version of the Reactor. On the 275, we see a 160mm fork up front as opposed to the 150mm you’ll see on the rest of the line-up. Similarly, for the 29er you get a 150mm fork instead of a 140mm fork. For 2021, its a RockShox Lyrik Ultimate Charger 2.
