Your new bike probably has room for a longer dropper post. Why not make the most of it? That concept is starting to get a lot more popular, particularly as more and more long travel dropper posts become available. Now, it’s Fox’s turn to stretch their legs.

Earlier this year, the Fox Transfer dropper post got a major overhaul. The posts got lighter, they shrunk in overall length to better fit more frames, and gained new internals and a new clamp design. Now you can add longer travel to that list as well.

Using the same proven design, the new posts feature 200mm of travel with a 530.7mm external length. At the minimum, you’ll need 150mm of the post in your seat tube, and if you want to slam it all the way to the collar, you’re looking at 320mm of maximum insertion. Longer droppers get heavier, and this one checks in at 657g.

It uses the new patent-pending head which Fox says was to decrease the stack height which allows longer posts to fit in more frames. We like it because the bolts are now offset from the shaft which means multi-tools fit way better when you have to make an adjustment trail-side.

Like the other models, you’ll have the choice of their existing 2x lever or the new 1x under-bar lever which weighs just 33.5g. The 1x lever is also Matchmaker and I-Spec EV compatible.

The posts will be offered in 30.9 and 31.6mm diameters, with Factory Kashima and Performance black options. We’ll update when we hear back on pricing.
