From the beginning designed to be the ultimate lightweight and efficient climber’s road bike, the BH Ultralight EVO Disc gets an integration overhaul for 2021, while shedding grams at the same time. The new carbon bike drops 40g, while moving to integrated seat post clamping and completely hidden, fully internal cable routing.

Introduced with disc brakes and wide tire clearance already back in 2016, the Ultralight EVO Disc was an early adopter of much of the details that have come to define modern light road bikes – albeit without any real focus on aero dynamics. The profile of new Ultralight EVO is then mostly unchanged except for the disappearance of exposed cables and the elimination of the traditional seatpost band clamp.

The new look is sleek and well-integrated, offering some incremental aero gains too, on a bike still prioritizing lightweight & stiffness above all else.

Supposedly they’ll be back, and are still honoring warranties, at least what BH claimed when responding to an email I sent them.

We’ll see though. Supposedly, they’re just consolidating worldwide sales into their offices in Spain, but who knows. I hope they’ll be back: the US needs more boutique brands on the road, especially quality ones like BH and Look.

It’s a nice looking bike. It’s too bad, though, that they don’t offer it as a frameset so users can spec other components as they wish.

Love it! If I could afford to add another BH to my stable, this would be it. Although, the G7/G8s aren’t too shabby in the climbing department, especially since they’re pretty light for aero road bikes. Probably why BH opted to just slightly refine the Ultralight instead of doing what Speshy did with the TarEnge? VenMac?

Also, keeping the older model around was a good call. All the SuperSix/CAAD fanboys would love this, if they actually 1). knew it existed, and 2). wouldn’t be offended by the BH Ultralight series always having been a better bike than Cannondale’s SuperSix.
