We already know that the Tern GSD G2 allows you to get even more “stuff” done. But what if you need to bring the kids along for the ride? Cargo bikes have always been an interesting option when it comes to transporting your offspring, but with the newest accessories from Tern, it’s easier and more comfortable for your little ones than ever.

Clubhouse Fort for Tern GSDBy combining their powers, four individual accessories join together to create the ultimate kid carrying device – the Clubhouse fort. The combination fully shields the passengers from the elements, while also providing plenty of options for cargo carrying as well.

Building on the existing Clubhouse+ and Sidekick Wide Decks, new to the lineup are the Storm Box and Storm Shield. All four of these put together form the Clubhouse Fort. This will fit up to two kids, with or without child seats and with a maximum recommended height of 4’7″.

Roll up windows allow the passengers an open air experience, or you can roll them down if it’s really wet or cold. Inside, there are pockets for bottles, snacks, and toys to create a rolling clubhouse.

The new accessories can also be used separately, with the Storm Box working as a cover for passengers or cargo. The waterproof fabric stretches around the Clubhouse+ and creates a 160L soft bucket for carrying objects of many sizes. The Storm Box includes two covers – the Kid Lid which is a spray skirt for passengers, or the Cargo Lid which is both waterproof and Lockable.

The Storm Shield can also be used on its own, but requires the Clubhouse+ to fit over (or with the original GSD and the Clubhouse). This set up leaves the legs of bigger passengers exposed, but smaller riders in child seats should be completely sheltered.

All of the accessories include reflective silver accents and 3M reflective yellow strips for increased visibility. Both the Storm Shield and Storm Box will start shipping in December or January with a retail price of $220 each.
