YT Industries have reinvigorated their line of full suspension mountain bikes with RockShox Ultimate suspension upgrades for the Izzo, Jeffsy and Capra 29ers. The new YT Blaze models are limited edition runs; 500 Izzo Blaze models are available worldwide while there will only be 300 Jeffsy Blaze and Capra Blaze bikes to go around.
YT Blaze Models
Until now, the best RockShox shock you could get on a complete bike from YT was the Super Deluxe Select+. Though it does offer some rebound damping tuning options, there is no adjustability on the compression damping side; just a lockout or “threshold” lever for firming things up while climbing.
Now, the YT Blaze models change that, throwing the top-end Ultimate range of RockShox suspension into the mix for the 29″ wheeled versions of the Capra enduro bike, Jeffsy all-mountain bike and Izzo trail bike. That makes low speed compression adjustments available, allowing riders more tuning options.
Izzo Blaze
The Izzo is YT’s 130mm 29er carbon trail bike. The Blaze model gets a 140mm travel RockShox Pike Ultimate fork and the RockShox Deluxe Ultimate shock. It is also updated with SRAM’s 12-speed GX Eagle 52T drivetrain. The Izzo Blaze rolls on a DT Swiss M1900 Spline wheelset and Maxxis Minion DHRII tires. Jeffsy Blaze
The carbon Jeffsy’s 150mm of rear wheel travel is serviced by a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate shock on the new limited edition Blaze model. That top-end shock is married to their top-end 35mm stanchion fork; the RockShox Lyrik Ultimate. Other spec includes the 12s GX Eagle group from SRAM with 52T climbing cog, SRAM G2 RSC 4-piston brakes and a DT SWISS M1900 wheelset. The YT Jeffsy is also available in aluminium.
Capra Blaze
The YT Capra Blaze carbon is spec’d with RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate shock which services 170mm of rear wheel travel. The 29″ enduro bike also gets a 38mm stanchion RockShox ZEB Ultimate fork. DH-spec SRAM Code RSC brakes provide the stopping power. It rolls on a DT Swiss E 1900 Spline wheelset with a Maxxis Assegai and Minion DHR II tire setup. YT also sell a Shred edition of the Capra with a coil shock.
Pricing & Availability
The YT Blaze models are limited edition builds. Five hundred Izzo Blaze bikes are split between Europe & Israel and US, Canadian and Australian markets. Just 300 each of the Jeffsy Blaze and Capra Blaze are available, with an equal split between those same markets.
