Osprey have updated the Talon Pro and Tempest Pro with their proprietary Nanofly fabric to create two ultralight backpack options for hikers and bike packers. The fabric integrates ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) ripstop and 100D nylon. So, as well as being featherweights in their class, the Talon Pro and Tempest Pro packs are also abrasion resistant, ready for whatever lies in store.

Osprey’s Tempest Pro and Talon Pro backpacks for 2021 literally have a place for everything. On top of their main compartments, they both offer hip-belt pockets, a front panel pocket, hip-belt pockets, side stretch mesh pockets, a top panel pocket, plus an internal zippered pocket with a key clip for safe keeping.

For the hikers amongst you, there’s also storage for an ice ax as well as trekking poles, which are said to be easily stowed away while on the move.

For the bike packers out there, the smaller Tempest Pro 18 and Talon Pro 20 may be the better option. These backpacks get a bike helmet attachment. Another useful feature for the cyclist contingent is the light attachment at the rear. These smaller packs have panel-style dual-zipper access to the main compartment, while the larger ones have a bucket-style opening.

All four packs have an external reservoir sleeve for top-up hydration and side compression straps to cinch the pack down to a compact size.

They also get the ergonomic features you’ve come to expect from Osprey, such as the AirScape back panel for ventilation, and bio-stretch harness meant to hug the pack to the body for a close and secure fit.
