One of the challenges of off-grid camping with modern devices and creature comforts is maintaining enough power. If your camper van or adventure rig doesn’t have a full auxiliary battery bank, then you need something portable. And the quicker it can charge, the better off you’ll be…and that’s where EcoFlow comes in.

EcoFlow’s portable power stations have tons of power, yet recharge extremely quickly, even from solar panels, thanks to LFP battery technology.

They can be tethered together to increase total output, run time, or both. That lets you run high-draw electronics like a refrigerator, coffee maker, or hair dryer.

Here’s a quick EcoFlow product overview that explains what all they can do:

EcoFlow summer sale

ecoflow river pro high energy portable power pack for off grid

EcoFlow RIVER Pro

The top of the line RIVER Series portable power station, it has a 720Wh battery that can power up to 10 devices at once directly from its onboard USB ports and three 600W AC plugs. Attach the solar panels (below) and it’ll recharge in just 4-8 hours, or plug it in if you can and it’ll completely top off in just 96 minutes. Out in the wild? You can charge it directly from your car, too.

It even lets you connect an external battery for twice the energy and turn on X-Boost mode to temporarily juice kitchen devices and other power tools!

MSRP: $649
SALE: $549

ecoflow river max high energy portable power pack for off grid

EcoFlow RIVER Max

The RIVER Max steps down to a 576Wh battery that will recharge fully in as little as 1.6 hours (and up to 80% in just 1 hour!). Stack an extra battery in it to double that. Like the Pro, you can recharge it from your car or solar panels, and it’ll power 10 devices simultaneously, too. A built-in light illuminates your workspace while you get setup.

MSRP: $549
SALE: $449

ecoflow delta battery backup power supply with solar panels

EcoFlow DELTA + 160W Solar Panel

If you’re really trying to add solar+battery power to your camper van without having to figure out all the wiring, inverters, etc., then the EcoFlow DELTA + 160W Solar panel package is exactly what you’re looking for. It has a massive 1260Wh capacity, which is more than many 3-battery setups we’ve seen in vans, and gives you six outlets, plus tons of USB-A and USB-C ports. Charge up to 13 devices at once, and even power high draw devices!

The 160W solar panel has 21-22% efficiency to recharge the DELTA in about 12-25 hours, depending on the light. Add up to 400W of total solar input to speed that up, or plug it in when you can to get 80% charged in just 1 hour!

MSRP: $1,848
SALE: $1,599

ecoflow 160w solar panels for camper van battery recharging and off grid power supplies

The 15lb panel folds down to 1/4 its size, and the carrying case doubles as a stand to help you angle it for maximum sun exposure.

The solar panel is a HUUUUUUUUGE stretch…cold temps, solar power and “quick” do not coincide. As for charging from the car – cool. That said, where I am, all my buddies on their ebikes are at peace with the fact that their bikes are powered by fossil fuels (coal here) – same would be true charging your batteries from your vehicle (gasoline/diesel)
