Not only has Canyon//SRAM delivered one of the longest-running title sponsorships of a Women’s World Tour professional road cycling team, but they’ve also managed to churn out colorful eye-catching kit since 2015. Now backed by an Estonian cryptocurrency exchange called ZondaCrypto, Canyon//SRAM are back with new pink, purple & lime green swirls for a flashy new year of road, gravel & cyclocross racing.

Canyon//SRAM called their 2024 season their best yet. Hard to argue with after Kasia Niewiadoma’s standout year, starting with a La Flèche Wallonne win and topped off with a victory at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. Now the team will come back for the third year in a row wearing race kit made by title bike sponsor Canyon, in their great and growing Canyon soft goods line-up, and now with a new crypto sponsor sporting a fresh gradient look for their pink, red, purple, turquoise & lime green colors.

This new 2025 kit design is titled Infinitum, designed to embody the energy that drives the team riders, “…the dynamics, the highs and lows and the incomparable moments of a cycling race“. In our thoughts though, it’s another great new bright kit design that should stand out in the peloton, and be popular for amateur fans alike.

This is the kit that riders like Zoe Bäckstedt, Tiffany Cromwell, Chloé Dygert, Katarzyna Niewiadoma, and the rest of the team will be wearing in upcoming road, cyclocross, and gravel races in the coming year.

While many pro team kits just scream like a billboard for sponsor company logos, a few teams like Canyon//SRAM & EF Pro Cycling manage to let their bright colors & patterns build team visibility. And in the meantime, they create striking designs that cycling fans will actually want to actually wear themselves.

Canyon//SRAM ZondaCrypto Infinitum – Kit availability

Last year’s 2024 Harmonic Rift kit is still available directly from Canyon.com and their app for a couple more weeks. Then, from mid-January, the new 2025 Canyon//SRAM ZondaCrypto Infinitum kit will be available.

You can already preview it now.

Pick from the 130€ women’s or men’s short-sleeve Aero Jersey and the 180€ women’s or men’s Bibshorts to start. Then, they’ll likely add more cycling items like aero gloves, wind vests, long-sleeve jerseys & skinsuits as the season progresses, plus plenty of casual fan wear, too.

Sad to see teams having to resort to sponsors like this.

I’m curious on your thoughts as to why this is sad. This is not a dig, I’m legitimately interested in why you think this is bad and I hope to learn about a space I’ve not been exposed to. Note that I’m old enough that I still own a leather wallet, carry cash (along with a credit card, I’m not 90) and don’t actually own any cryptocurrency.

I know that cryptocurrencies have been gaining in popularity over the past few years and although there have been some negative stories, they appear to be limited to only a couple companies from what I’ve seen. But again, my exposure is limited to what I’ve seen in the news.

I think any company willing to pony up sponsorship money for women’s cycling is exciting. It’s been hard enough over the years to get sponsors for men’s teams. For women’s team it’s been extremely challenging because of the nature of the current revenue model in pro cycling.

Reminds me of the hilarious NFT blockchain project… oh wait… Or was it when Nexthash took down Qbeka all together ? Or was it the Wattcoin debacle Rally cycling was pushing before being forced to close and befor Rally got bought by United Health to make even more profit ? You can type crypto and scam in google if you are old enough… Pretty sure the next claim will be that all this is green as green can be… Let me just throw in a crystal ball prediction: Magnus will get his younger daughter transfer again because he probably knows how close things got and how solid or not this will be in the second year… I bet everyone has a 2026 clause for a safe out. For the rare ones who were able to extend further than 2025…

Just FYI, since you may almost be 90, how long have people said the revenue model must change ? Id say about 50 years now ? Has it… nope. So really just look at it any way you want to, from the bottoms up, the way to survive is via pure sponsor cash and material.

Crypto makes the team more interesting, coin goes up they ride Canyon
coin goes down they get “Bikes Direct” with a Claris group.
Coin gets hacked, the team gets bikes from the spectators.

That would be a hilarious idea for a series- the teams have to run equipment based on things outside of their control… I’d pay to watch some pro teams slog it out on Claris the day after riding Red hehehe

Sad to see that Canyon Sram uses Cromwell, a washed up gravel racer for advertising rather than Niewiadoma the current Tour de France winner.
