Winter is coming. And nobody would know that more than our friends at 45NRTH. With winter comes the fat bike season (well, the bulk of the fat bike season anyway). So the Minnesota brand just launched some new carbon rims for fat-tire bikes. The new carbon Levitas fat-bike rims were designed to complement 45NRTH tires, but they’ll work with any fat bike tires in the proper size.
The internal widths of the new Levitas are tailored specifically for each wheel diameter. This creates a broad, well-supported tire profile that maximizes flotation, traction, and control for the most demanding winter conditions. The new Levitas uses a narrower spoke bed to reduce weight where possible, while still reinforcing the rim walls for strength and impact resistance.
