Gravel is in vogue, but lots of the products arriving with gravel in the name feature some excellent non-gravel specific benefits as well. The new Lazer Cerro KinetiCore helmet offers the best of the road and off-road worlds — dovetailing with gravel.

The design has a road-focused appearance from head-on, but a tiny visor is visible as the view comes to the side. The Lazer Cerro has many add-ons that make it more versatile than most, especially paired with the $99 price tag.

The Lazer Cerro KinetiCore has built-in eyewear docking slots to keep glasses in place on bumpy roads. And if you get too gnarly on said roads — KinetiCore technology should protect you against direct and rotational impact.

What’s KinetiCore Technology?

Lazer’s KinetiCore technology features built-in rotational-impact protection thanks to unique Controlled Crumple Zones incorporated into the internal structure of the helmet. KinetiCore also uses less overall material, adding improved ventilation, a lighter-weight helmet design, and fewer plastics used in construction (not to mention more friendly to long hair).

Magnetic Buckle

Lazer adds a magnetic buckle to keep the Lazer Cerro KinetiCore on your head. Plus, along with a small visor, an insect net will protect riders from rain, gravel, mud, and many flying insects.

It’s hard to believe in the title because it’s simply a helmet. They could have just as well claimed it was for indoor training specifically and it would still just be what it is… A helmet with features
