amazing greens grass drink superfoodBump up your nutrition easily with these Amazing Grass green drinks. They’re chock full of all the stuff we should be eating every day, and they’re a helluva good deal compared to some other brands that spend a ton on advertising. We really like the “purple” (aka “sweet berry”) flavor, but that and the “red” (aka “berry”) flavor are on sale for just $16.49 (reg $22.99).

prime day sales for orgain vegan protein powder and collagen powders and core power whey protein drink

Sports nutrition is expensive, but here’s a few treats we found to help you recover quickly after those big rides. Note: There’s a lot of bars, gels, and drinks on sale, too much to list here , (check the full category list here) but we picked some highlights from brands we know and trust to delivery quality goods. Here they are:

  • Orgain Plant-Based Protein powder – $20.01 (reg. 28.59)
  • Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides – $25.46 (reg. $49.99)
  • Core Power protein shakes – $22.31 (reg $35.88)

lifestraw personal water filtration device for backcountry hiking and cycling

The Lifestraw Personal Water Filter weighs virtually nothing and is no larger than a hand pump, making it a great addition to any deep woods mountain bike outing. Because, you know, just in case. It’s currently half off, on sale for just $9.99 (reg. $19.95.)

vybe pro massage gun

We’ve been using the VYBE Percussion Massage Gun for a couple months and really like the wide range of speeds and rock-solid build.  it’s not technically a Prime Day deal, but it is 25% off for Prime Members right now, and worth a look if you’ve been wanting a percusson massage tool without breaking the bank!

ativafit foam roller massage sports

Want something simpler? Try the Ativafit Yoga Foam Roller, on sale for only $19.19, which has been proven to work as well as stretching (if you do it a few times a day) for keeping muscles limber. Because we all know cyclists have tight hips, hamstrings, and, well, everything else…so use this to loosen up a bit and start driving more power to the pedals!”

variable weight resistance bands for home workouts

It’s almost scary how inexpensive these are, but we’ve been using a set for almost a year now and they’re great. The LetsFit resistance bands give you up to 150lbs of “weight” by interchanging 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 pound bands onto the handles. Just make sure you have a secure hook to attach them to, then get after it…because you know we still need to workout that upper body. They’re on sale for just $15.96 (reg. $19.95).

Gear, Bags & Accessories

prime day deals on osprey travel duffel backpack and packing cubes

Osprey has a few different packs and accessories on sale, including their Packing Cube Set for 20% off at checkout (reg. $37.95). Packs include their Porter 46 ($69.99), which is an excellent crossover backpack/duffel with tuck away straps for easier carrying and carry-on usage; plus their Ultralight Stuff Pack (20% off at checkout, reg. $35)

airxwills tire inflator pump air compressor inflator

Pumping is for chumps when you’ve got a pocket-sized inflator like the AirXwills Portable Tire Inflator for just $36.79. While it probably won’t seat a tubeless tire back onto the rim, it’ll keep things topped off with minimal effort.

thule soft side rooftop cargo bag for vehicle roof racks on sale with amazon prime day 2020

Thule has their Luggage Loft 15XT soft-sided rooftop cargo case and Crossover 32L backpack on sale, both 20% off at checkout.

oakley turbine rotor sunglasses

Oakley has selected sunglasses 20% OFF. Mostly lifestyle shades, there are a few cycling models in the mix, with tons of lens shapes and options for anything you’re gonna be doing outside.

Camping & Outdoor Gear

coleman montana 8-person tent on sale in amazon prime days

The Coleman Montana is a popular item for car camping…and it sleeps EIGHT people. Or, two people and bikes and gear with room to move. It’s a great home base for those long weekend road trips to killer trails. And it’s cheap, at just $111.64 (reg. $219.99).

Actually, Coleman has a TON of tents, camp stoves, air mattresses and more on sale for Prime Day 2020. Check out the full list here.

UCO portable camp grill and fire pit that folds flat for easy transport

UCO has their mini camp grill on sale, which is cool (and folds completely flat!!!), but we really love their fiber-reinforced nylon utensils. Not only are they ultralight and super tough, but we’re pretty sure that bolt pattern will fit your water bottle mounts. They’re not on sale, but they’re so cheap, it kinda doesn’t matter. Lots of colors to choose from, too!

Bicycle & Garage Security

prime day deals on amazon ring doorbell v3 with HD camera

Let’s face it, if we have expensive bikes sitting in our garage, we want to make sure they’re safe. We’ve researched the best combos of equipment to create a simple home security setup, which we’ll outline in a future post. For now, here’s the equipment we’re setting up, all of which is on killer deals for Prime Day.

The Ring Video Doorbell 3 is on sale for $139.99 (reg. $199.99), but select the bundle with the Echo Show 5 and you get both for $149.99. This creates the foundation that gives you a smart screen that can show you what’s on every camera you’ll add for just $10 on top of the already massively discounted Ring 3.

amazon ring indoor security cameras for wireless cloud based surveillance of your home and garage

Next, go with the Ring Indoor Cameras. Unless you store your bikes outside (please, no), the indoor models are less expensive without giving up any features. And they come in white and black, so you can hide a black one in a darker corner of your garage so it goes undetected. They’re $44.99 each (reg $59.99), and you can add as many as you need, then sync them all into your system via the Ring app.

From there, if you want to record the footage when they’re motion activated, you’ll need to subscribe to Ring Plus ($10/mo, unlimited cameras). Without that, you’ll still be able to view the footage from anywhere you can get online or cell data service, but it won’t record it for playback to the authorities.

There are other options out there, but if you’re still reading this, you’re likely a Prime member, and these are the easiest way to build on that ecosystem and take full advantage of Prime’s benefits.

Want more deals?

Stay tuned, we’ll add more as we find them…new items will be added to the TOP of the each category in the post.

Amazon is an awful company that exploits workers and degrades communities.
Its monopolistic practices make doing business with them unavoidable sometimes, but people who care about democracy should minimize Amazon purchases.

Came here to say that. Amazon was the beginning of the end for local bike shops. Soon a lot of people will be riding around with unexplainable creaks wheels that need trueing that their Amazon prime account can’t fix.

Remembering that NYT article where an Amazon employee had a stillbirth and was told to report to work the next day…. And then Jeff Bezos said that wasn’t the company he knew. Of course not, no one woud treat the BOSS that way.
