If your shredder is ready to ditch the sidewalk and hit the singletrack, Batch Bikes just dropped a solid first MTB that checks all the boxes. The new 20” Kids Mountain Bike is built to be that perfect trail gateway—lightweight, capable, and smart enough to handle more than just backyard laps.

Batch 20” Mountain Bike – What is it?

At the heart of the bike is a hydroformed 6061 alloy frame—rigid enough to take some knocks but light enough for younger riders to control on climbs and descents. The Batch didn’t skimp on the build kit, either. Microshift’s Acolyte 8-speed system handles the drivetrain, with a clutch-equipped rear derailleur keeping the chain locked down when things get bumpy. Plus, it’s not an arm and a leg to replace if (when) the bike takes a hit on the expensive side.

Mechanical disc brakes with 160mm rotors cover stopping duties, giving kids confidence when the trail points down, or conditions get sketchy. Speaking of downhill, the bike rolls on chunky 20” x 2.6” all-condition MTB tires, offering grip, suspension, and stability on gravel, dirt, or just cruising the neighborhood.

Batch kept things kid-centric geometry-wise. Thanks to MTB handlebars, Kraton grips, and a saddle designed for smaller riders, the bike has a comfortable, upright position. This setup encourages longer rides and fewer complaints. The super secret down tube water bottle mount will come in handy for those longer rides, but looks clean.
