Schwalbe has released a warning for all end users: beware of online stores falsely referring to the Schwalbe brand without offering Schwalbe products.

Schwalbe says that in the past several months, “several cases have occurred in which e-commerce make reference to Schwalbe”. The mentions are in prominent places such as their logo, product photos, and even entire item descriptions suggesting that the store is an official Schwalbe store.

These fraudulent stores look genuine and are being used to defraud buyers who are paying for products that they never receive.

The official Schwalbe website is www.schwalbe.com In Europe, products from the tire manufacturer can only be purchased through wholesalers and retailers. But, in North America, Schwalbe tires and tubes can be purchased over the official domain: www.schwalbetires.com

Schwalbe-Fake-Shop-Warning

Schwalbe has taken various measures on their end to protect their customers from fraud. They’ve set up a permanent domain monitoring program that searches the internet looking for sites that make reference to Schwalbe to double-check if those sites a legitimate.

They’ve also been taking legal action and successfully closing down several of the impostor shops, and will continue to do so.
