The BH iGravelX NX is the Spanish brand’s most advanced foray into the world of electric gravel bikes. Based on BH’s GravelX bike, the iGravelX NX carries over many of the same features and spirit loved by its owners, but with a bit of a boost.

Equipped with Bosch’s Performance Line SX drive unit, BH designed the new bike for those who want to go further and faster.

The BH iGravelX NX’s Frame

Carried over from their other carbon frame bikes, the BH iGravelX NX uses the Hollow Core Internal Molding (HCIM) carbon layup process. HCIM creates an immaculate surface both internally and externally. The process eliminates leftover resin and carbon debris inside the tubes, making things like internal cable routing much easier. It also keeps tolerance margins incredibly slim.

HCMI also allows for BH to have ample control over carbon wall thickness across the entirety of the frame. BH can fine-tune where they want more or less material, creating the lightest frames possible without sacrificing rigidity or durability.

Many of the same aspects of the GravelX bike carry over to the iGravelX NX frame. Both have fully internal cable routing and BH’s integrated seat clamp.

Air Bow Gravel Fork

Along with HCIM carried over from the GravelX, we also see the use of the Air Bow Gravel Fork. The curved shape of the fork helps the BH iGravelX NX absorb vibrations and chatter likely experienced on every ride.

The fork also allows for wider tires, fitting up to 50mm.

Bosch Performance Line SX Motor

While the iGravelX from BH is equipped with the SEG BHZ drive unit, the new BH iGravelX NX gets a Bosch SX motor (yet, somehow the bike’s not called the iGravel X SX?). The Bosch Performance Line SX drive unit not only delivers more power than the SEG, but it is also a touch lighter.

The Bosch SX drive unit delivers up to 400% assistance, with 60Nm of torque pushing up to a 600W maximum power output. The 2kg (~4.4lbs) is paired with a 400Wh battery, providing a range of around 125km (~77.7 miles) per charge.

Bosch uses their new display, discreetly integrated into the bike’s top tube. All information is easily accessible and displayed on the 2-inch touchscreen, with further adjustability available through Bosch’s Flow app.

BH iGravelX NX Geometry and Build Options

The idea was to strike a balance between performance and comfort on long rides when designing the BH iGravelX NX. BH wanted to push performance on fast gravel tracks while providing a confident riding experience in technical sections.

As was the case with the HCIM carbon frame and Air Bow fork, BH took inspiration from the GravelX. While the popular motor-free gravel bike inspired the iGravelX NX, certain areas needed to grow to incorporate the Bosch SX motor.

The BH iGravelX NX comes in four sizes, S–XL.

BH offers the iGravelX NX in two build options — the Carbon 2.7 priced at €5,999.99 ($7,020.26), and the Carbon 2.9 at €7,499.99 ($8,775.33). While the main difference is the groupset spec, the HCIM carbon frames are identical. The 2.7 sees the Shimano GRX and the 2.9 upgrades to the electronic GRX Di2. Here are the other subtle differences between the builds.

BH iGravelX NX Carbon 2.9

  • Shimano GRX Di2 groupset
  • FSA Trimax 30 TR wheels
  • FSA K-Wing AGX Carbon bars

BH iGravelX NX Carbon 2.7

  • Shimano GRX groupset
  • FSA Team TC30 TR wheels
  • FSA A-Wing Pro bars

Aside from these components, both models of the BH iGravelX NX e-bike are the same. See the complete spec list and get more information at BH’s website.
