Northern California’s Ritchey Design has entered the flat pedal game with the launch of its first flat pedal, the Ritchey Comp Bigfoot. Injection-molded from reinforced nylon, the new pedals are both light and strong. And we’re kinda surprised it took more than 50 years for Ritchey to make a platform pedal. Strange, right?
Ritchey Comp Bigfoot light composite platform pedals

At just $45 / 45€, the new Ritchey Comp Bigfoot is affordable as well. The 105 x 108.5mm slightly concave platform will give the rider control, confidence, and pedaling efficiency. And at 18.5mm thick, they balance a decently low height while ensuring strength and stability.

The Comp Bigfoot is loaded with nine replaceable and adjustable anti-slip traction pins per side. This should almost guarantee solid shoe grip, whether on your city commuter, backcountry adventure ride, or trail mountain bike.

These bad boys weigh in at a modest 360 grams per pair, and should have no problem holding as well as many heavier aluminum counterparts.
