I remember these brakes. the macmahon scissor links were so powerfull!! the precursor to the bat wing which in my opinion were the best pre v braks brake.

Yeah, McMahon Scissors Brake. Hope it’s made of better material than my MRC Decelerator cantilever, which was made of pot metal that deformed, bulged, and cracked on me.

This is a McMahon Racing Components Power brake “scissor type” – with Link U-Brake Flex Plate.
It’s from about 1991-1996.

To Spencer: I think this is not the “batwing”. That was a “simple” V brake.
