Photo submitted by Mike Kubany, “Just a great pic of my buddy Tom getting some air on our local jump trail in Lynn Woods, MA. Even after 7’ of snow in 6 weeks it was cold enough and snowshoe packed enough to ride.”

We always love to see your photos and would like to show them to the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your photo with a brief description here.

Cool! Lynn Woods, my old stomping grounds for cross country races in the mid 70’s!

Pretty sure Lynn Woods is closed to biking until mid-April.

Yeah, I know it’s full of snow, but rules are rules, understand? Many of folks have worked hard for years to keep everyone happy and in good standing. At least be smart enough not to say where you are when you’re not supposed to be there.

New England: Too many people like me who do trail work, go to meetings , lobby for our rights, invest time and money, work to keep places open for the last 25 years while folks like you can’t follow simple rules? Lynn Woods is closed to bikes till mid April, has been for years.

Your reply says it all – Einstein.

Gotta side with the Conductor on this one. Rules are rules, whether they make sense or not. Not to say I wouldn’t bend the rules every now and then but I sure as hell wouldn’t post pictures of me doing it.

I rode Lynn Woods weekly (weakly) in the 90s to 00s. Great place.

That being said, the signs are pretty clear when it’s closed to bikes.

I used to dream of riding the trails of Mt. Tam in the 90’s while tackling the trails in Lynn Woods…there is one trail that had a Moab-like double hitch up a slick rock (maybe 20′ total climb?) with an off-camber jump on the back. Sweet trails. Now that I live on the side of Tam, I keep remembering the awesome and challenging trails of Lynn Woods. Grass is always greener, eh?

Smart enough to know that the pic was taken in a section of Lynn Woods that’s not actually part of Lynn Woods, and is always open to biking. But thanks for your concern

Sweet!!! And yes, that is in an area open year round to biking. Most LW riders are pretty cognizant of the trails and the special place it is. Many years the place is dry early, but not this year…. Got snow?

those trails are way too hard. Me and my crew prefer the NEMBA approved flow trails up at willow dale.

#puff puff……. “NEMBA approved”…. Uh… It literally says “Every local mountain biker should experience Lynn Woods!” on NEMBA’s website…. You and your “crew” are missing out.

Roots. I remember rocking the XC races back in the early 90s. What a great venue.
