Generally the weather is really nice right by the water. Cool (by our standards) in the morning, like mid 50’s F, and pleasant by afternoon, low 70’s F. Water is cold, 58-60F. Definitely wetsuit conditions if you want to swim.
If you are into MTB, checkout Mugu State Park. Climbing Overlook Fireroad and descending Backbone Trail or Guadlasca Trail is a fun ride.

Nice Pix Josiah! Are you able to ride the fat bike in the sand for quite some distance? I am in T.O, so thought about getting a fat bike just for this reason.

Casey, I am always *shocked* by just how nice the bike rides in the sand. The Surly Edna 26″ x 4.3″ tires just float across all but the softest, driest sand. Basically, if you ride below the high tide line, it is almost as efficient as riding on asphalt. I can ride about 8 miles at this spot, and other than some places I had to hike-a-bike over the rocks, it was a dream. Really fun to carve, too, since the lugs on the edge of the tire really bite and give you plenty of support. Just don’t forget to rinse the sand and salt of your chain…
