Take a look at the pink bike!

Photo submitted by Rob English of English Cycles, “kind of a fun project to share; wanted to show you the cruiser I just finished. 29er, Nuvinci hub, wooden fenders – definitely a departure from my usual race bikes, but it is just so smooth to ride!”

See the rest of the bike after the break.

I built my bike up like this! The schwalbe big apple 2.35 tires are gynormus, and ride great. This bike is not light I’d say at least 27.5 lbs… those tires weigh 980 grams …2 pound tires – the rotational weight is a little vexing from a stand still, but boy these babies can roll, and corner like no other. My build was with the shimano alfine wheels, but I migrated my chris king/blunts over and tublessed them to improve the ride and save weight.

I can’t say enough good things about my English road bike. Light, responsive, and intuitive are a couple of things that come to mind. Rob is always doing things a little different, but with a purpose. Always creative, and that can be seen in this bike. Nice bike!
