Photo submitted by Bill Kramer, “I live in New Albany, Indiana. New Albany shares the Ohio River border with Louisville, Kentucky. On the Indiana side of the river lies 3 connecting cities, New Albany, Clarksville, and Jeffersonville that I ride thru to reach the Big Four Pedestrian Bridge. The Big Four Pedestrian Bridge spans between Jeffersonville, Indiana and Louisville, Kentucky. The Bridge was formally a railroad bridge that sat unused for years. The two states came together and shared the cost of renovating it into a pedestrian crossing. The result has been an economic boom for both cities. Many restaurants and outdoor concerts have sprung up making this an awesome addition to the area. I left my house in the dark one morning this summer for a 30 mile bike ride. I was on the Big Four Bridge 8 miles into my ride when I witnessed this incredible sunrise. I had to whip out my iPhone for a shot.”
We always love seeing photos from where you are riding and are happy to share them with our readers around the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your pics with a brief description here.
