From podiums to paintbrushes, SCOTT-SRAM’s Bjorn Riley isn’t your average XC racer—and his new custom-painted U.S. XC Champion Edition Spark RC mountain bike proves it. Fresh off a breakout U23 season and a pair of Elite national titles. Riley is celebrating in full color, bringing his creative vision to the curvy canvas that is his race bike.

Call it a rolling gallery of speed and self-expression. Designed and detailed by Riley himself, this special Spark RC World Cup is as personal as it gets. For the theme, Riley blends his performance pedigree with an athlete’s bold, tattooed visuals. One who lives just as much in the art studio as he does racing between the tape.

“This is my bike,” Riley says. “I mean it fully is my bike, it’s no one else’s. I’ve been dreaming of that moment since I was a little kid.”
From Boulder to the Big Leagues

Based in Salt Lake City but born from Boulder roots, Riley’s riding style already turned heads last season—two World Cup wins in Les Gets (XCC and XCO), and a string of U23 podiums capped by a double win at the U.S. Nationals in Macungie, PA, where he took home both the Elite XCO and XCC titles. Not bad for your first year mixing it up in the biggest bicycle big leagues.

But it’s not just his legs doing the talking—Riley’s got a distinctive flair that goes beyond race results. Whether it’s throwing style off tech features mid-race or blending bold visuals into his off-bike persona, he’s carving a unique line in the world of XC.

Riley’s U.S. Champion edition Spark RC World Cup is more than just a one-off paint job. It reflects the athlete himself—raw, expressive, and full of contrast.

The graphics are a mash-up of Americana, traditional tattoo art, graffiti textures, and hidden personal symbols—like the subtle seattube detail that Riley says reminds him this isn’t just a machine, but a part of who he is.

Scott’s Spark RC platform is already a race weapon, proven on the XC circuit for several years. It’s the bike of Muti-Time World Champion Nino Schurter and the entire SCOTT SRAM squad. And really, it’s probably the single pro mountain bike we’ve featured most over the years, with all the wins racked up on this platform.
Riley’s version cranks that race-day energy up to eleven with his signature visual vibe and its one-of-a-kind graphics.

Make sure to follow Riley and the UCI Mountain Bike World Series this coming weekend, May 23–25th in Nové Město Na Moravě, Czechia for an XCO/ XCC showdown.
