Brooks England’s new Discovery Collection packs in four bags for the urban bike commuter. With technical cycling-specific features, the briefcase, shoulder bag & two backpacks are designed to transition off the bike to not look out-of-place around town or at the office.

Brooks England Discovery Collection of commuter bags

Each one of the new premium all-black Discovery Collection bags is designed for durability on & off the bike. They all combine a mix of waterproof & coated Nylon & Cordura fabrics, plus reinforced contact points, and waterproof zippers throughout. They also each include padded laptop compartments, print linings made from post consumer recycled material, and low-key reflective elements that light up brightly at night.

Brooks New Street Briefcase for bike commuters

The 190€ New Street Briefcase takes a simple classic look and adapts it for life on the bike. The 15l briefcase features two basic loop carry handles, but also gets a removable shoulder strap. It gets plenty of internal organization, plus zip external pockets as well.

Out back it can be combined with an optional KLICKfix modul attachment, that makes it able to clip directly onto a bike rack like a pannier. It’s subtle reflectivity comes by way of a strap that stows on its back, or be wrapped around the bag for increased visibility.

Brooks Strand Shoulder Bag for bike commuters

The 170€ Strand Shoulder Bag shares a similar aesthetic and features in a messenger-style bag. Also 15l, it gets an asymmetric mesh padded back and includes Brooks’ simple three-point strap with metal buckle for stability while riding.

The bag has an external laptop sleeve pocket. It also adds reflectivity to the lower portion of the main flap, which also includes an easy to access zip flap pocket.

Brooks Sparkhill urban bike commuter backpack

Brooks’ Sparkhill is the smaller of their two new commuter backpacks, but is still available in two sizes. A 15l version for 170€ & a larger 22l bag with the same features for 190€, let you pick how much you need to haul on your daily commute.

Both sizes feature the same layout with the same central zip external pocket as the rest of the Discovery family, with an external laptop sleeve pocket. The Sparkhills get more internal organizer pockets, plus another subtle patch of reflectivity on the lower portion of the bags.

Brooks Pitfield urban bike commuter backpack

Lastly at 190€, the larger Pitfield commuter backpack offers the most hauling space for the commute. Stretching from 24-28l, the flap-top backpack gets more pockets, and more storage capacity.

The main center zip pocket is big enough here to stash a helmet with its stretch design, plus the addition of a top flap pocket for something small and expandable side pockets that can carry a water bottle securely. Like the other backpacks, it features a similar mesh padded back panel & shoulder straps, an adjustable sternum strap, and an external laptop sleeve pocket. It also gets the same patch of reflectivity on the lower portion of the bag.
