UK bike company Brother Cycles has been growing over the last couple years, centered on making affordable, non-nonsense steel road, gravel & mountain bikes. Now as they look to scale up once more, Brother are returning to crowdsourcing platform Seedrs for more investment. And the reward, beyond a potential future return on investment, Seedrs backers receive a 10% or 15% discount off a Brother bike purchase for the next five weeks…

Brother Cycles crowdsources investment via Seedrs

Instead of crowdsourcing a single bike on Kickstarter, Brother Cycles returns to the crowd-investor platform Seedrs that helped kickstart the company with initial investment back in 2015. Now that the company is operating at a profit, the idea is to raise another £100,000  by offering up a 7% stake in the business to individual small investors, allowing Brother to grow further and offer even more new products in the coming year.

That specifically will include the new high-end steel Stroma road bike we got a sneak peek at this summer, and an all-new ‘technical adventure bike’. If you are interested in learning more about their plans and whether it would be a sound investment for you, head on over to their Seedrs page to get into the full details.

Brother Cycles rewards for Seedrs investors

So if you made it this far and think it might be worth taking the risk to invest long-term in a small bike company, how about some immediate gratification? Brother Cycles is offering a discount to all Seedrs backers good through the end of their investment crowdsourcing campaign in just over five weeks.

If you back them for up to £100, Brother will send you a 10% discount code. Or invest more than £100 and you get a 15% discount code that can be used in their online shop (for complete bikes, frames & accessories in stock) good towards purchases made up to December 11.

If you were already looking to buy a Brother Cycles bike or frame, that’s a pretty no-brainer good deal, with the added side benefit of getting a stake in the business too. Plus, if you invest and then buy something from their shop, Brother Cycles will throw in a free, limited edition cycling cap too.
