Hot on the heels of its last eBike launch, Cannondale releases another fun way to get around town. Introducing the new and improved Quick Hybrid. The latest version of the Cannondale Quick 1 Hybrid introduces a smartphone integration system that turns your phone into a ride dashboard.

The universal phone clamp and app tag work together to automatically launch the Cannondale app when you mount your phone, tracking ride statistics and syncing with platforms like Strava. That’s pretty cool.

Beyond ride tracking, the app handles maintenance reminders for service intervals and provides a complete parts list for your bike, streamlining the ownership experience.
It’s a Hybrid

In my experience, the word “hybrid” when associated with bikes was synonymous with “mediocre at best”. But Cannondale positions the Quick platform as a hybrid that addresses these common compromises in the category.

It uses Performance Posture Geometry to create an upright riding position that balances comfort with efficient power transfer, while the frame geometry aims for responsiveness without feeling twitchy.

The bike includes integrated cable routing for cleaner aesthetics, with cables running inside the frame rather than externally mounted.
Practicality is the key feature in the design of the Quick family, with mounting points throughout the frame for racks, water bottles, bags, fenders, and kickstands.

This versatility supports a range of riding scenarios, from daily commuting to recreational rides. The Quick 1 and 2 both feature carbon fiber forks, reducing the bikes’ overall weight.

The carbon fork provides more precise steering feedback and better vibration damping than aluminium alternatives.
Stay Connected, Shift with Confidence & Be Seen
The connected features represent the most notable update to this iteration, creating a more integrated experience between the physical bike and digital ride tracking.

The Quick 3 incorporates an Intellimount stem that securely holds an SP-Connect smartphone mount, turning your phone into a cycling computer when paired with the Cannondale App. The AppTag is likely an NFC tag that is embedded in the smartphone mount. When you place your phone on the mount, it automatically senses and reads the NFC tag and opens the Cannondale App. This feature allows riders to track speed, distance, and other metrics during rides.

This is perfect for riders who want to monitor their progress or maintain detailed ride logs. The Quick’s automatic app launch eliminates the manual setup typically required with smartphone-based cycling computers.

The Cannondale Quick’s practical mounting options make it suitable for daily commuting. At the same time, the sporty geometry and gearing provide enough performance for fitness-focused rides.

Speaking of gearing, the Quick 1 & 2 comes equipped with a Shimano CUES drivetrain. The stopping is handled by hydraulic disc brakes, which means both Quick 1 & 2 provide reliable shifting and the right amount of stopping power for varied terrain and conditions.
Quick, Comfy & In Control
The bike uses Cannondale’s SAVE micro-suspension technology to absorb road bumps (it doesn’t have actual suspension components; instead, it relies on shaped tubing to flex and absorb vibration). Additionally, the upright riding position balances visibility with efficiency. It rolls on 700x35c tires that offer more cushion and grip than traditional road bike tires. The OutFront steering geometry positions the front wheel further forward for stability and reduces the chance of toe overlap with the pedals.
