For the big pulley believers out there, CeramicSpeed is bringing its OSPW X system to the SRAM RED XPLR AXS groupset. The new OSPW X isn’t just about oversized pulleys (though it is a lot of it). It’s about tackling the unique demands of gravel riding with “next-level engineering.”

OSPW X was first introduced with SRAM Eagle Transmission. The unique ( and, dare I say, stylish) design boasts some practical features and efficiency: Active Debris Remover (ADR) and ALPHA Disc pulleys.

Gravel – Active Debris Remover (ADR)

Debris is the enemy of smooth shifting, especially on rough gravel roads. That’s where ADR steps in. This patent-pending system uses a unique dust cover anchored securely in a groove on the pulley wheel, fully sealing off the bearing. Surrounding that is a bladed groove structure designed to eject debris as the wheel spins. Keep sticks, stones, and anything else that will break your bones out of the pully wheel.

Translation? Your drivetrain stays cleaner and more efficient, with fewer hiding places for dirt and debris.

CeramicSpeed didn’t just create this in the lab—it’s been rigorously tested with its pro-off-road teams, ensuring it can handle real-world abuse.

ALPHA Disc

The OSPW X for RED XPLR AXS has 14-tooth and 20-tooth ALPHA Disc pulleys, which feature a two-piece design. The narrow-wide composite teeth enhance wear resistance and reduce noise, while the solid aluminum disc prevents debris from jamming the spokes.

Built Tough, Built Light

The OSPW X cage is crafted from reinforced molded carbon fiber, keeping weight low without compromising strength or durability. The whole system is dialed in for gravel riding, where reliability matters as much as performance.

Color options

As awesome as the OSPW X sounds, you can’t ignore the price. At $669, the cage and pulleys are just $31 shy of the price for the entire SRAM RED XPLR AXS rear derailleur. But if you’ve got cash to burn and marginal gains in your sights, it will make your derailleur stand out.

Can anyone explain why Bikerumor never features SLF Motion products? I’m really just curious because Kogel and CeramicSpeed AND the brand we know of as Hambini’s favorite all get love, but I’m sure I’ve never seen SLF Motion featured here. I’m not in the market for an aftermarket cage with its requisite oversized pulleys – I think this is the least proven cycling “upgrade” (with the worst cost:benefit ratio imaginable) – but I find it interesting that there are established brands that never wind up on these hallowed pages.

Does it matter what Hambini likes or dislikes?

We have covered SLF Motion before. But a search of our inboxes yields nothing from them in many years. In contrast, we get press releases from Kogel and Ceramic Speed all the time. We do our best to search for new products outside of submitted press releases, but the companies that send us the info directly are always going to have a better chance at getting coverage.

It doesn’t look cool.
It screams ‘I’m an idiot’ and that is not a cool look.
