The Giro Xar, their new all-mountain helmet that should start shipping this fall, was being rocked by Ross Schnell at the Breck Epic, so we grabbed a few closeup photos…if only I’d had the Park scale!

The Xar gets the great new RocLoc5 retention system.
The Xar should provide good coverage like their Xen but with more updated features.
The included visor is removable.
The in-molded outer shell wraps underneath the lower section to give it a little more strength for those aggressive rides.
