Are hard tails still relevant? Absolutely. And they’re only getting better. Just take a look at the new Diamondback Sync’r Carbon – it’s a light weight plus bike with modern geometry and a drool worthy build that should be right at home on any of your local trails.
Gaining the full carbon treatment, the new Sync’r opts for 27.5 x 2.8″ wheels and tires stock, though the frame is fully capable of running 29 x 2.4″ wheels and tires as well. The monocoque carbon frame features asymmetric chainstays, internal shift & dropper routing (external brake), and features like a threaded bottom bracket, ISCG 05 tabs, and Boost 148 x 12mm spacing.
Up front you’ll find a 140mm travel Fox 34 Performance Float fork with a Grip 3 position damper that sits at the 66° head tube angle. That’s matched with a steep 74° seat tube angle for better climbing.
Hinting toward the bike’s intended purpose, the complete builds include an MRP chainguide and bash guard to keep the Truvativ Descendant crank and SRAM Eagle chainring safe. The 32t ring is matched with a SRAM GX Eagle 12 speed group and Shimano MT501 hydraulic disc brakes slow things down.
Right down to the DB4L alloy pedals with sealed bearings and replaceable pins, the Sync’r is ready to rip right out of the box for $2,999.99. As part of Diamondback’s deal with Beeline Bikes, this bike would also qualify for free assembly and home delivery since it is over $500.
