PRESS RELEASE: Ellsworth Handcrafted Bicycles would like to thank all of our Dealers, Owners and New Owners for contributing to the success of our 2009 Economic Recovery Plan. In just five weeks, Ellsworth accumulated over sixty complete bikes and frames for Trips for Kids and Outdoor Outreach.
“We were honored to have been chosen by Ellsworth for this wonderful contribution which was a great boost to our bike inventory. It came at a perfect time as our Spring/Summer sales have picked up and we were in need of more bikes. And since several of the bikeswere children’s bike, our earn-a-bike participants will be able to pedal off on a bicycle they have worked for,” said Marilyn Price, founding Director of Trips for Kids. The bikes and frames were delivered to Ellsworth’s Northern California representative, Daniel Jeffris, at the Sea Otter Classic on April 16th who brought them to the Marin chapter.
In association with the San Diego Mountain Bike Association, Ellsworth also donated complete bikes and frames to Outdoor Outreach. Outdoor Outreach is a San Diego-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower at-risk and underprivileged youth to make positive, lasting changes in their lives through active, outdoor programs.
