Esker is currently trying to make room for the bikes they expect to receive in 2026. This means great savings for those in the market for a new trail bike.

To get rid of last year’s models, Esker knocked nearly $2,000 off the price of the Howdy trail bike. Sizes and colors are limited, but $2,599 will get you a complete bike.

A few years ago, Esker hit the pause button on full suspension bikes. Fortunately, last year marked the brand’s return to full-squish bikes with the introduction of the Howdy and Woodsy. The frames are 125mm and 145mm, respectively, from Dave Weagle’s Orion Suspension System, as seen on previous Esker full-suspension bikes.

They also moved away from carbon, offering new full-suspension bikes in two frame materials: aluminum and titanium. To be clear, this sale applies only to the aluminum Howdys.

But here is what that $2,600 will get you:

  • 6061-T6 aluminum frame (note that these frames don’t have internal cable routing)
  • Fork: 140mm RockShox Pike Select
  • Shock: RockShox Deluxe
  • Wheels: Stans Flow S2 Comp 29
  • Brakes: SRAM DB8 Stealth
  • Drivetrain: SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission OR Shimano XT (mechanical)
  • Tires: Maxxis Rekon EXO – 29×2.5
  • Cockpit: PNW Components and Ergon mashup

These frames will be covered under Esker’s “1,000,000 Mile Warranty,” protecting against any manufacturer’s defects. They also have a solid crash-replacement program for issues outside the warranty.

They only have a few left, so snag one soon.

The Esker Hayduke LVS Goes Fat

You thought your chainstays were long, wait until you hear about the Hayduke LVS. Esker stretched the rear end of this bike out to 600mm, providing a bit more comfort, stability, and, well, a ton more room for gear.

And, the new Hayduke LVS FAT has the same philosophy, just with a wider footprint. Esker also says that the frame pricing for the new fat bike will be the same as the Hayduke LVS at $2,950. Esker says that these were originally ordered as a prototype only, but customer response was great enough to justify a limited production run.

Here are the Hayduke LVS FAT details:

  • Seamless, double-butted, and cold-shaped 3/2.5 titanium frame
  • 26 or 27.5 wheels
  • Tire clearance up to a 5.0″ for 26 / 4.5” for 27.5
  • 495mm rigid fork or 120mm travel fork
  • UDH compatible
  • External cable routing, threaded BB, 44mm head tube
  • 30 attachment points throughout the frame

These frames will be made to order, provided that you supply a $1,000 deposit. Orders placed by February 28th will be delivered in May.

Changes to Titanium Bikes Moving Forward

In fact, Esker will switch to a pre-order program for all their titanium bikes moving forward. According to Esker, the “turmoil of global economics has made it hard” for the brand to continue stocking ti bikes.

So, similar to the Hayduke LVS FAT frame (or any other ti frame in their lineup), orders will have a deadline based on delivery and require a $1,000 deposit. So, if you’ve been thinking about a new titanium Esker for spring, place your order before the end of the month.

Unfortunately, if you are interested in the titanium Howdy, Woodsy, or Smokey, you’ll have to wait. Those frames are “not yet available for pre-order.”
