The clinic will cover the topics below and will include an assisted pre-ride of the race course with Shelly Allen and Carolyn Van Vurst. Topics include:
1. Trouble shooting the course
2. Avoiding mistakes at the start
3. Race strategy
4. Proper fueling/hydration
5. Proper warm-up
This clinic is geared toward first-timers, Base 1, and Base 2 Racers. To sign up for the clinic, send email to Barbara@floridawomencycling.net (with name, category and contact info) so we know how many women plan to attend. We recommend women who attend to ride the course once before the clinic so we can work on “trouble spots” during the clinic pre-ride.
The clinic will be held the day before the Southeast Regional Championship (SERC) Round 1; Sunday, March 8, 2009. For information about registering for the race, go to goneriding.com.
