BIKERUMOR.com 2009 SEA OTTER CLASSIC: Foes Racing had some very nice commuter bikes, called the Pasadena, on display.  Planned for a mid-Summer launch if they get enough interest in them…and from the looks, they will.  The frame is hydroformed 6061-T6 aluminum monocoque, which Brent Foes says increases the stiffness of the frame and I say makes it sexy.
There are two versions that are planned, one with aluminum fork and cockpit (shown after the break) and this black beauty with Carbon fork, stem, handlebar and seatpost.  Both are built with LX/SLX drivetrain, Hayes Stroker disc brakes and SUN-Ringlé wheels with Kenda tires.  MSRP will be $2,000 for the aluminum model and $2,600 for the carbon-equipped bad boy.  Frame will be available, but no pricing estimates on that yet.  If you like this and want one, email them from their website and let ’em know so they’ll build it!
Hit “more” to see their new 29er (still in Prototype stage) and more pics of the Pasadena…
Hydroformed tubes give the Foes Pasadena a very unique look, as do the seat stays (several pics below).
The aluminum forked version was showing in a light khaki color (above) and a light sage green (below).
Foes 29er, which was originally spotted at a race a few weeks back was shown here as a rideable prototype…except it was for display only.  Still, very cool looking.  The official availability statement is “it’ll launch in September” but they did have MSRPs:
- Frame w/ Curnutt Shock: $3,000
- Frame w/ Fox Shock: 2,250
…and just for fun, a few pics of Foes Racing’s RS7 Downhill Race bike in “raw” frame finish:
Check out the stamping on the swingarm section…wonder if you could check the lot code for that aluminum…?
