Many of the trips he’s undertaken have been working holidays spent chasing light in beautiful destinations where he explores, shoots, and rides. But those aren’t the only reasons he travels. It’s also his way of staying curious, living young & never growing up because “To live, will be an awfully big adventure”.

The pursuit of light often puts Steve in many awe-inspiring places at the most beautiful time of day when your shadow is long and it dances along the trail. It only seemed fitting to put these Pan-esque moments together as one epic point of view shadow-chasing mountain bike ride around the world.

And with locales in the shots from Azerbaijan, Canada, the Czech Republic, Peru, Portugal, and the USA, Steve has us looking for familiar trails. And with all that globetrotting, maybe we should keep an eye out for Steve himself.

Where to ride

  • Race the 8bar Crit on Berlin’s Tempelhof airfield this April – The 8bar Crit 2020 returns to Berlin’s disused airport this April 20 along side the VELO Berlin bike show going on next to the 1km course in the former airport’s hangers. The fast & technically challenging course makes the fixed 8bar Crit an unforgettable experience for both riders and spectators. Register now through Apr 13. 8bar-bikes.com
  • Race the Best of Both worlds on & off-road in Bend, OR this June – Just three years old, The Best of Both is a mixed-surface showdown in Bend, Oregon and one of the most unique endurance races in the US. Riders compete on a 62mi road race over the highest 6400ft paved summit at nearby Mt. Bachelor, then transition to mountain bikes for the next 23mi of diverse singletrack to the finish. There’s even a new ‘Single Steed” category for crazy people that thing it wasn’t already brutal, enough. Go on, try it. RaceTheBestOfBoth.com
