  • Plans are Underway for the World’s First Bicycle Superhighway. The city of London is thinking way beyond bike paths and protected bike lanes. As posted on EcoWatch.com, Transport for London which is the city’s transportation agency, last week approved the world’s first bicycle superhighway. London’s bicycle superhighway would run alongside the banks of the Thames River for more than 15 miles.

“Plans are Underway for the World’s First Bicycle Superhighway” – This is actually not true – In Denmark we have in the past two years enjoying bikelanes called Cycle Super Highways. They’re not done constructing CSH, but my guess is that there around 40 kms of CSH today and the plans are to double that in the next couple of years.
