Since their beginnings, G-Form has focused on flexible protection. Based on their proprietary RPT (Reactive Protection Technology) design, the TPU coated segmented padding has become the G-Form calling card, protecting athletes in sports from cycling to kayaking, to baseball.

And while G-Form has steadily made improvements to their original pads up to the Pro-X line, they still needed something for more aggressive riding. With the help of pro riders like Brian Lopes, G-Form worked up a set of pads that offer protection for bigger impacts to your knees or elbows…

Called the Elites, the pads are available in both knee and elbow sets in adult unisex sizing from S-XL. Designed to stay in place better than the Pro-X pads, the Elites have a longer sleeve with a larger gripper on the top and another gripper on the bottom. Without any straps, the pads stay in place with a breathable elastic panel on the back along with the elastic grippers. Using the same Zero Flood Plane segmented concept, the Elites take it to the next level with more segments and larger segments at the likely spots of impact which they refer to as body mapping. The additional impact protection makes them 1621 level one certified.

Offered in black or black with yellow trim, the Elites sell for $99 for the knees or $89 for the elbows.

The other new option from G-Form is the Pro Slide. Designed specifically for skate parks, ramps, or other areas where one might need to slide on their knees, the Pro Slides have a special material that is impregated into the foam. This keeps the TPU from sticking to the surface of the ramp while still offering the protection of the RPT foam. The Pro Slides feature the same breathable back panel and dual gripper design of the Elites, and are currently available in knee only for $60 in youth and adult sizes. Both the Elites and Pro Slides are available now.

G-Form will also soon have their Pro-B bib shorts available, though a set back in production has delayed the launch slightly. Shown at PressCamp a year ago, the bibs will feature RPT padding on the hips, a chamois, and 3 rear pockets for storage.

Is there any disadvantage to the Pro Slide, vs. the Elite or Pro-X knee pads for all around usage? I see they have the same back panel and dual gripper, and less sticky surfaces contacting the ground seems like it could be a plus outside of the skatepark too.
