The Garmin 705, their top of the line cycling GPS computer, just hit retail in the UK.  However, it doesn’t appear that they can get a Euro mapped version of the Garmin-Slipstream team color model (shown above).  Of course, we can only get this stateside as part of their $650 (MSRP) bundle that includes data card w/ street maps, cadence sensor and heart rate monitor.  The basic unit starts at $499, with different option packages between that and the $650 version.
The 705 has several features not available in the 605, including: Barometric altimeter, compatibility with ANT+ enabled power meters, it can share info with other 705s, it has a heart rate monitor and can be equipped with a cadence sensor.
UPDATE: Apparently, this has been at retail in the UK for a while, so while we apologize for the “old” info, here’s our source on this one, posted April 10.
