In this week’s Gear Roundup, we check out the latest gear from 76 Projects, Fizik, Endura, Scott, and Tifosi. For me, the highlight has to be the A.S.S strapless top tube pack mount from 76 Projects – it turns any top tube pack into a strapless version of itself. Here are the details…
UPDATED with correct (and actually reasonable) A.S.S. pricing!
76 Projects ASS – Strapless Top Tube Pack Mount
Here’s a neat new Every Day Carry solution from 76 Projects; the Anti Strap System (aka A.S.S.). This piece of kit will allow you to mount any top tube pack without the use of straps, keeping your frame paint in top nick.
Endura Humvee Waterproof Socks II
Endura has updated their Humvee Waterproof Socks, now thinner than ever. They feature a 3-layer construction for warmth and durability with a highly breathable waterproof stretch membrane. The Humvee socks are unpadded, so you shouldn’t need to up-size your shoes for the winter riding season.
Two sizes of the new Endura Waterproof Socks are available;
-
S/M fits US 5.5-9
-
L/XL fits US 9.5-13
Pick up a pair for $49.99, in Rust Red, Forest Green, or Black colorways.
New Fizik Saddle Bag
The new Fizik saddlebag is composed of PU-coated polyester with welded seams, finished with a water repellent zipper and velcro strap. It is intended for on- and off-road cycling, built to carry an inner tube, CO2 cartridge and inflator, tire levers, and a multitool, with an interior mesh pocket added to keep its contents tightly packed and well-organised.
Pick up the new Fizik Saddle Bag for $24.99.
Scott Stego Plus Enduro Helmet
The new Scott Stego Plus boasts all the modern safety features you’d expect to find in a top-level enduro MTB helmet. MIPS technology deals with rotational impacts while EPS foam and PU pads provide protection for low and mid-energy impacts. Coverage looks generous, especially around the back of the head, and the vents are voluminous.
The Scott Stego Plus also gets a 360 Halo closure system and adjustable chin straps for dialing in fit. The visor flips up to stow goggles underneath. What caught our attention here is the fact that you can swap out the standard visor for a second visor that has a built-in GoPro mount; we think that’s pretty neat.
The new Scott Stego Plus enduro helmet is available in six different colorways. Pick one up for $189.95.
Tifosi Tsali Sunglasses
The Tifosi Tsali cycling sunglasses come with three interchangeable shatterproof polycarbonate lenses that provide 100% UV protection. This particular model from Tifosi Optics offers a small to medium fit; adjustable nose and earpieces dial in the fit. A hydrophilic rubber at the nose piece increases grip as you sweat. Pick them up for $79.95.
