Handup Gloves has been growing like mad, adding a lot of new styles and options to their catalog since we interviewed founder Cody Wallace last winter. Now that cold (and cyclocross) is fully upon us, we were happy to find they had some new Cold Weather versions with fleece lined tops, plus a ton of fresh styles for summer.

These three are the new Cold Weather options, including Lumberjack, Gray Knitted Sweater and Neon Knitted Sweater. The fleece lining is only on the tops to add insulation and wind blocking, the the palms remain their thin Clarino leather palm with silicone graphics for control and grip. Retail is $30 per pair, and the red, white and blue ‘Murica Cold Weather glove is still in the line, too. All feature their oversized terry cloth thumb (nose) wipe.

Their regular lineup features a ton of new colors, including the apparently too-popular-for-its-own-good PRIZM teal/orange glove shown on bottom left…which is almost entirely sold out. Other options have availability in most sizes, but Cody says things are moving fast and some options won’t be back in stock until Spring (we tried to order some and couldn’t get a few). There’s more on the website, but these were the new designs that stood out.

Most have a fun bit of silicone lettering on the palms that come together for Party Time. Retail is $28 per pair for the standard (non Cold Weather) gloves.

I’m kinds bummed as at first glance I thought the one that says “Chill” said Cthulhu. Holiday despair for all.

Any idea if their gloves are lightweight enough for summer riding? I like racing with gloves and prefer full finger ones after racing XC. My fox rangers are still a little too warm for summer Texas road races and with them being held together with thread and duct tape id like to replace them with something more versatile.

I typically don’t wear gloves for road but dig these gloves for mtb. I haven’t ever thought that they’re too warm but that seems like it’d vary by person. Prolly didn’t help address your question.

My only recommendation for them would be to add some terry cloth (or similar) to the index finger. ymmv

I used them all summer in the south. Probably about as cool as you’ll get for a full finger glove.

The standard ones are not warm at all – in fact they are about as light as you can get. I consider them great brush / branch protection for off road. That’s about all they’re good for, protection wise. (they are really comfortable). I don’t want to sound negative, I used them a lot – but that’s because the riding out here I don’t really need more armor than that.

I have a couple pair of these gloves, they are awesome quality and hold up to repeated wear/wash cycles perfectly. They are light enough for a lot of the year, but for me in the higher temps they are a bit too thick. Of course that’s why they are holding up so well. I also have Royal and 661 XC gloves that are notably ‘lighter’ mesh on the back for racing in the heat if the course is really rough, or for road riding and smoother mtb I just go bare handed.

These are the best gloves I have found. Mountain, road, CX, gravel, etc. I never leave the house without a pair. Their standard gloves are great for 3 season of riding (I live in the super muggy SE US) and their winter gloves are surprisingly warm, yet seemingly breathable. It doesn’t hurt that these guys are a huge advocate for the cycling community and will always bring the party!

Those ‘Merica gloves are brilliant. Depending on the subculture, they can sell the same glove either on the messages face value or for mad ironic props.
