HANDUP is rearing to get riders ready for the brisk winter cycling season with a new line of cold-weather gloves. These mitts pop just as much as their usual offerings but add more insulation.
HANDUP is known for their fun, vibrant line of gloves that feature bright designs and slogans for the rider that wants to make a statement, and perform well. Earlier this year, HANDUP partnered with two-time National Downhill champ Neko Mulally to create the perfect race glove.
These mid-weight gloves may not be tailored to elite downhillers, but they are right at home on riders who intend to brave the ever descending temperatures over the winter.
The latest cold-weather line from Handup includes three designs: Blizzard Bolts, Olive Cascade and Golden Hour.
The Blizzard Bolts design comes with the tried and tested “SEND IT” line across the palms. The Olive Cascade glove’s palms read “SHRED,” while the Golden Hour design features a softer “GOOD VIBES” to accompany its calming sunset hues.
Normal HANDUP gloves are seated at the wrist with an elastic band that stretches to fit over the hand. They also come with silicone graphics on the palm and fingers for more grip and a towel sweat cloth on the thumb to clear debris, tears, or whatever from your eyes and face.
The Cold Weather gloves feature a fleece interior, and an extended neoprene cuff at the wrist for more insulation. These gloves also come equipped with HANDUP’s FULLTOUCH touchscreen technology incorporated into the entire palm of the glove, making phones easier to access without having to strip off the glove.
The gloves are intended for chilly mornings and nights, and for rides with significant physical output. where your body can warm itself. For colder temperatures, HANDUP also offers a line of ColdER gloves.
HANDUP has your feet covered too. Each of the cold-weather designs has a matching all-temperature wool sock available. The socks have a reinforced heel and toe and athletic cut arch support. They are made from a blend of 62% Merino Wool, 30% Nylon and 8% spandex. HANDUP says these socks are thin enough to be worn in all weather conditions.
HANDUP cold-weather gloves go for MSRP $34, $5 more than their regular gloves. Matching socks will set you back MSRP $18.
