Hunt’s affordable, light 30 Carbon Gravel wheels were such a hit, riders kept taking them deeper off-road. So Hunt did what they do best – they developed a new bigger, wider, even more capable X-Wide version of the carbon wheels to go even further off the beaten track, and all at the same price…
Hunt 35 Carbon Gravel Disc X-Wide tubeless wheels
Hunt says these new Gravel X-Wide wheels are a direct response to riders of their current wheels who wanted an even more capable, modern carbon gravel wheelset. I’m happy to say I have pushed their light carbon gravel wheels a lot further off-road than they may have originally been intended, with great results.
With a 23mm internal width and thick carbon beads for a 30mm overall width, the new wider gravel wheels are optimized for big 700c gravel tires around 35-45mm. Plus their blunt U-shaped profile and beefy 35mm depth promise strength & stiffness for serious off-road riding.
Hunt has some heavy hitters riding their wheels off-road, like former Transcontinental winner Josh Ibbett who will race this year’s Tour Divide on the new Gravel X-Wides, as will elite Dutch cyclocrosser Gosse Van Der Meer who will race them at the next Dirty Reiver.
