Sitting in the Ceramicspeed booth were new Time Xpresso 15 pedals, a new model for 2015 that comes in at just 66g per pedal! And, of course, they’re running Ceramicspeed bearings on their hollow titanium axle, both of which are upgrades over 2014’s Xpresso 12. Other features on the pedals include Q-factor adjustment, carbon fiber body, alloy cleat plate and 15º of float.
They also showed off a huge new collection of bottom brackets, opening up their use to those pedaling away on GXP and Campagnolo cranksets, plus a wheel collaboration with Denmark’s Black Inc…
Mavic’s using their own version of the pedal, also with a hollow titanium axle and Ceramicspeed bearings. Check that out and the rest of the latest Mavic bits here.
Two of the columns are new items, the SRAM GXP column they’re pointing at and the Campagnolo OverTorque column. OverTorque is Campy’s version of a BB30 spindle, details here.
Black Inc’s current offerings are spec’d with DT Swiss 240S hubs, which these would appear to have…
…except for the Black Inc+ Ceramicspeed logos etched into the otherwise unmarred hub.
The hub shell looks like it’s still a DT Swiss part, but the freehub body is machined and not anodized black like the DT 11-speed part. All Ceramicspeed would say was they had collaborated with Black Inc on the hubs. We’ve reached out for more info and will update if/when we hear back.
