IMBA-SORBA Announces 2010 Events
From the chilly, challenging Snake Creek Gap Time Trial Series that kicks off in January to the Middle Georgia Mountain Bike Festival in November, IMBA-SORBA chapters from Alabama to the Atlantic will offer a full year of great events in 2010. Time trials, endurance, cross-country and just-for-fun ridess are scheduled, as well as festivals, work parties and celebrations of National Trails Day, National Public Lands Day and International Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day.

Paulding Weather Cooling, But Trail Development Stays Hot
Paulding SORBA has been working hard all year to create trails and host events for those who live in and near Paulding County, GA. These hardworking mountain bikers are an asset to their community, and they aren’t about to slow down any time soon.

Ten Things IMBA Did For Mountain Biking in 2009
We’re making a list, checking it twice … It’s a tradition at IMBA to issue a list of 10 things we did for mountain bikers as the calendar year comes to a close. This time, we are also looking ahead to 10 more things we will do in the year ahead. None of the accomplishments below would be possible without the generous giving provided by our individual members, affiliated clubs, corporate supporters and other partners in the IMBA family. Please consider making a contribution to the annual fund today and helping us achieve even bigger successes in 2010.

Team IMBA Participants Raised Over $80,000 for Trails
Congratulations to the 87 members of Team IMBA 2009, who together raised a total of $84,937 for mountain biking in 2009. Led by title sponsor GT Bicycles, the Team IMBA fundraising program allows mountain bikers to raise funds for local and national trailbuilding projects by doing what they love to do most — riding their bikes. The 2009 participants collected nearly $50,000 in donations, and with the help of a generous challenge grant from SRAM they sent nearly $60,000 to local mountain bike clubs and more than $20,000 for IMBA trailbuilding projects. Custom team jerseys gave Team IMBA an unmistakable presence at every event and provided a great reward for joining the cause.
