In addition to their new road bikes, Bianchi had several Pistas (track bikes), fixed gears, singlespeeds and some retro classic steel road bikes on display.

Above, the new Campione is a double butted chromoly 16-speed “10 speed” bike with a muted sparkle black paint job that’s targeted at the hipster that wants some gears but wouldn’t be caught dead on a “road bike”.  Downtube shifters, cloth bar tape, pannier mounts and leather wrapped toe clips round out the package for $800.

Other fresh goodies with minimal gears after the break…

Just a hint of sparkle on the Campione’s frame gives it classy look without being flashy.

The Pista Dalmine (announced in August) is the first alloy fixie coming out of Italy. It’s based on the Pista Alu, but now offered as a complete bike. It differs from the U.S. alloy pista models in that it’s not the full aero tube shaping, and it has mounts and cable guides for front and rear brakes, and it comes with SRAM’s Torpedo hub. Available by the end of the year for $900.

With SRAM’s Torpedo rear hub, you don’t have to flip the rear wheel around to go between fixed and freewheelin’ single speed, just turn a screw through that hold on the axle nut.

They’re also bringing back their traditional chrome-lugged, steel road frames from the ’50s and ’60s. The frames are double butted Chromolite chromoly and will be offered in a Tipo Corsa (“Race Type”, top) road and Pista Classica (“Classic Track”, bottom) track frames. The road frame has downtube shifter mounts, which you can use for shifter levers or as cable housing stop mounts depending on what sort of drivetrain you want to use, as well as bottle cage bosses.

Someone needs to find a chromed out headset to match the fabulous lugs.

Both will be available next March. $TBD .
