PRESS RELEASE: Interbike announced today that online registration for the 2009 Interbike and Providence Cyclo-Cross Festival is now open at interbikefestival.com. The Interbike Festival will be held Saturday October 10 and Sunday October 11, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and will be held in conjunction with the Providence Cyclo-Cross Festival at Roger Williams Park in Providence, Rhode Island.

The first annual Interbike Festival will gather bike enthusiasts from around the eastern United States in Roger Williams Park to see and demo soon-to-be-released bikes and accessories from brands such as Giant, Haro, Rocky Mountain, Scott USA and SRAM to name a few.

Attendees will benefit from the Roger Williams Park’s road, commuter, mountain and cyclo-cross bike testing areas including one road loop and two scenic off-road trails.

In addition to demoing products and participating in children and family-friendly activities amidst food and lively music, Interbike Festival attendees will have the chance to race in or watch the Providence Cyclo-cross Festival, a USA Cycling-sanctioned professional and amateur cyclo-cross race event. Part of the prestigious Verge New England Championship Series, both races will take place on the same course used for the 2005 and 2006 U.S. National Championships.

The 2009 Interbike and Providence Cyclo-Cross Festival is sponsored by Interbike, Yakima, Mavic, Earth Wind & Rider, California Giant Berry Farms, Specialized Bicycles, Kenda, Verge Sport, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Harpoon Brewery, Mountain Bike Magazine, and Wheelworks Bicycle Stores and Cycling Centers.

Festival admission is $10. For more information about the Interbike Festival and Providence Cyclo-Cross Festival race information, please visit interbikefestival.com.
