Tanken, which is Adventure in Japanese, is the new Enduro tire from IRC. Originally shown as an unnamed prototype at Sea Otter Classic alongside their new Boken gravel tires, the Tanken will come in 2.3 and 2.6 widths in both 27.5” and 29er, plus a 27.5×2.8.

The 2.8 will add a series of small knobs between the center and side knobs to fill the additional space. The compound has a high percentage of natural rubber to keep it soft and gummy, with a slow rebound. They say it’s been holding up really well in their own testing, so it should deliver a decent lifespan.
