Antonio, Mario, and Giovanni Sarto have been in the bicycle business since the 1950s. In 1992, Antonio’s son Enrico joined the family business. He brought with him a real interest in “custom-made” frames. In 2003, they created Sartos’ first carbon frame. Throughout the years, Sarto stayed at the forefront of composites innovation. And today, they launch the Raso Gravel Wide, fully pushing the boundaries of fast gravel racing/adventuring.

The Raso Gravel Wide is a carbon gravel bike that’s about the fastest way from point A to point B, even if it’s on the roughest trails. The Raso Gravel Wide has tire clearance for tires up to 700c x 55mm (2.2″), so the gnarly stuff is no big deal. It has 1x capabilities, but has space to run a 52t chain ring for a 2x if that’s where your head’s at.
The Raso Gravel Wide is said to be hand-crafted “fiber by fiber” in Italy. It’s also said to offer the same “pinpoint cockpit control and instantaneous acceleration” of Sarto’s road offerings. So, it’s built to race or have fast adventures.

Handmade, Fast & Future Proof
Sarto uses “real-world aero optimisations” for the Raso Gravel to be aero without compromising style points. The integrated front end, clean lines, and tube shapes are designed to slice through the air.

The Raso Gravel Wide is UDH compatible, which future-proofs the bike for the time being, while also allowing safer passage through the occasional rock garden if you’re running a SRAM derailleur with the Full Mount.

When tires get wider, that usually means the riding gets rougher. The new fork that comes with the Raso Gravel Wide is vibration-damping, torsionally stiff, and very handsome. Sarto says that it inherits the well-balanced lines of their road silhouette with the added strength, compliance, and resiliency that the trail requires.

Like all of the bikes by Sarto, the Raso Gravel Wide is a product of in-house design and manufacturing in Venice, Italy. Forming, shaping, bonding, and painting are all done under one roof. They create individual custom frame lay-ups and compositions, geometries, and specifications, giving every rider a truly bespoke experience.
