The new K-Edge Boost Stem Mount is a stem cap MTB mount that raises the computer mount face by about 1cm, giving you extra clearance above the top cap or really tall stem front plates.
They’ve offered both fixed and adjustable models for their original flat stem mounts, but this one will only come in the adjustable design. That lets you angle your computer up or down slightly to your preferred viewing angle…or just add even more clearance for the stem. Retail is $49.99, available now.
Pro-only until after the spring classics, the new direct-mount Specialized SL7 stem mount replaces the stock mount that comes with several models and bikes. Look for it (maybe) around Tour de France (possibly later). It’ll be Combo mount compatible, so you can attach your action camera or headlight underneath. Price is TBD.
In other news, if you’ve been running a Hammerhead Karoo2 on one of their blue Garmin-mount inserts but noticed a bit of rattle, there’s an easy fix. Just get one of the gray Wahoo inserts and install it 90º from what you’d do to use a Wahoo computer. That’ll orient it correctly, and the tab shaping better matches the Hammerhead to hold it more snugly.
